The Disintegration Elephant
There is an elephant in the room: we are all disintegrating. Our bodies, our social structures, our families… This leads to a sub-conscious hopelessness and efforts to cover up our despair. The message of The Gospel is that there is a grand hope. Jesus’ healing of the gentile woman’s daughter and the deaf man point to the promise of restoration; for all the people and all the person. The call for Christians is to pull our heads out of the sand, stop pretending we are home, and join Jesus in the mission of pointing to what is coming through restorative, boundary crossing ministry. Hope points. Mark 7:24-37
