tr.v. ren·dered, ren·der·ing, ren·ders
1. To submit or present, as for consideration, approval, or payment: render a bill.

3. To give what is due or owed: render thanks; rendered homage.
4. To surrender or relinquish; yield.
All things exist to display the supreme value of God. Taxes, marriage, sacrifices… God is God of all. The all of the gospel centered mssional Christian is to live life in such a way as to show the world that their primary treasure and allegiance is to God. The beauty if this is that as we focus wholeheartedly, passionately and relentlessly on the giver, the gifts all fall into proper alignment. Loving God leads to loving others. Mark 12:13-34

Why are we called “Imago Christi” Church?
“Imago Christi” is Latin for “Image of Christ”. We believe that man’s greatest need is to see and enjoy God. Jesus is the image of the invisible God, when you see Jesus you see the Father. Furthermore, we believe that though Jesus is the Light of the World, he has empowered us by the Holy Spirit to be lights in the world. Because Jesus ascended to heaven and does not walk the Earth in the flesh, we are the world’s best hope for seeing God. This is both a humbling and exciting call. We are to bear the Image of Christ before the watching world.
Who We Are
Gospel-centered
Not religion. Not irreligion. A third way… We are not about the hopelessness of irreligion or the burden of religion. There is a God and his mission is to transform us from the heart into passionate followers of Jesus.
Missional
We are not stuck on tradition, but want to allow the gospel to thrive in its own beautiful way, wherever God has put us. We will lovingly, humbly and relationally go to people, not wait for them to come to us.
For the City
We believe God has called us to resist the desire to go out from the city. Rather we will stay in the city, for the city.

As promised… The King has come. Jesus is very intentional about his entrance into Jerusalem. He is fulfilling prophecy and declaring his authority over the city, the world, and the universe. Mark 11:1-11

We dare not put ourselves in the place of Jesus. We cannot rule like Him or even rule completely and perfectly for Him, because we cannot bear the cost and sacrifice that comes with that authority. Let Him be King, and let us rest in being a follower and worshiper. Mark 10:32-52

Jesus calls us to change allegiance from the World to him instead. In this passage, He tells us, pretty blatantly, that if we do not have a new relationship with his gifts we do not have a new relationship with the Giver. Mark 10:13-31

The greatness we desire is a good thing. The way we define greatness is twisted and skewed. Jesus entices us to pursue greatness in humility, down is up. Mark 9:30

Do you believe in death after life? Scripture teaches that it is necessary for us to change. We cannot fathom what life in the age to come would be like, no more than an acorn can imagine that it would be a magnificent tree. But believe this: Jesus has conquered death, death has become irrelevant, we are set free from the stranglehold of death, and are headed for an indescribable hope. Listen as Pastor Donovan preaches through I Cor 15:35-58.

God in his mercy conquers our seared conscience and reveals to fallen men the glory of Christ. This is THE Gospel. God does not merely do something OUTSIDE of us that we can then take or leave. THE Gospel is that God graciously invades the wasteland of our hearts and minds, and makes the light of the glory of the Gospel of Christ to shine in our hearts. Mark 8:1-30

There is an elephant in the room: we are all disintegrating. Our bodies, our social structures, our families… This leads to a sub-conscious hopelessness and efforts to cover up our despair. The message of The Gospel is that there is a grand hope. Jesus’ healing of the gentile woman’s daughter and the deaf man point to the promise of restoration; for all the people and all the person. The call for Christians is to pull our heads out of the sand, stop pretending we are home, and join Jesus in the mission of pointing to what is coming through restorative, boundary crossing ministry. Hope points. Mark 7:24-37
